What was your first watch?
I remember my first watch when I was a child, was a Swatch, but I can’t remember which model. As an adult, my first watch was a TAG Heuer.
What does time mean to you?
I would say absolutely everything! Time has diverse notions, whether it is for replica watch making, music or just life on the whole. But by all means, time has a great influence on our emotions. So far as I concerned about music, time is a beat on to which we put some emotion. And this beat conveys something to the person who is listening to it. Further, we only can live once. Time is treasure and a gift. Don’t be a thief of your own time, it is extremely important to spend time with those we love!
In your thought, what does “Swiss watchmaking” mean?
Only two words can describe it: high quality! For Swiss watchmaking, dedication and elaboration are full glorified in details, which is the tradition for each generation of Swiss watches. The watches are the result of hard work on precision and finesse. It’s the same thing in other domains, such as music. An unaltered voice of the artist offers a much better quality. It is beautiful in its natural state, without needing to modify it using software.
You have been linked with IWC for a number of years without being a brand ambassador. What exactly is your relationship with the brand?
I first met Georges Kern through a friend in 2012. It made me feel like being at home after I was invited as a guest for several IWC events. At the first time, I had that strong feeling that we didn’t meet earlier. Certainly, we have mutual respect, a similar approach to life that aims for quality of life for everyone, at both the environmental and social levels. And because I appreciate IWC’s classic and chic style I was keen to follow the brand.
Your international hit “Wake me up” with Avicii was inspired by your relationship with IWC replica. Can you tell us more about this?
Yes, I’d love to! When I was invited to the SIHH in 2013 by Georges Kern the first thought of the designation was came to me. I always tell my friends that once you became a guest of IWC you are treated like a king.
From the plane to the welcome, everything! Every little detail was taken care of, something I had never seen before! So when I got home and sat down on the sofa, I said to myself “That was a dream!”. As a result I wrote “Wake me up when it’s all over”.
How many IWC models do you have? Which was your first?
I have five, no six,  replica IWC models. First IWC model I have was the Ingenieur Automatic, a limited-edition Portugieser. Actually before I became linked with the brand I already have it. I saw it at a Laureus charity auction and I immediately fall in love with it at the first sight, which sealed our friendship. This is what helped me realize that IWC was not interested solely in profit but also in social and ecological projects.
What do you think of smartwatches?
Ah! Interesting question. My wife loves it very much and recently, she wears it almost every day. For me, actually, I prefer those classic things. Personally, only watch with a mechanical movement and delicate technical parts can be counted as a real watch. Smartwatches for me is more like a smart phone on my wrist.
